Urban Type Redesign?

Since I absorb every single detail of typography around me wherever I am, this was a very overwhelming feeling I got when I arrived at Rotterdam’s Central train station! It’s just because you don’t expect it I guess. Someone decided to adjust the signage letters into a crafty child kinda typeface. And I can’t get it out of my head: Is this a person with a love for (typo)graphic arts, or are we dealing with a ‘just-to-be-funny’ rebel kind of schoolkid?
